History
SEA Electric was founded in 2013. After four years of product development and testing, SEA Electric launched its commercial operations in early 2017, triggered by the reduction in battery kWh pricing that would allow commercial feasibility in offering electric drivetrains to the global market.

- February 2019 – SEA Electric announces entry into USA market
- March 2019 – IKEA Australia start trial of SEA Electric EV delivery truck (on the back of IKEA announcement for all IKEA fleet vehicles to be electric by the 2025)
- March 2019 – NZ facility opens
- April 2019 – SEA Electric exhibit SEA Isuzu NPR EV at Advanced Clean Transportation Expo USA
- May 2019 – SEA Electric EV garbage truck deployed for Cleanaway
- May 2019 – SEA Electric enters Europe market
- June 2019 – First SEA Electric EV rubbish truck deployed in Wellington New Zealand, with a further order of 20 SEA EV’s in NZ on the back of this delivery
- June 2019 – Toyota Australia engage SEA Electric to engineer and build Toyota Hiace EV prototype
- August 2019 – Countdown NZ (Woolworths) deploys first of five SEA refrigerated EV delivery truck
- September 2019 – SUEZ in Western Australia launch SEA fully electric garbage/recycling truck
- September 2019 – Yarra City Council deploy first SEA EV Tipper Truck
- September 2019 – WEL Networks in New Zealand deploy SEA Electric’s first EV EWP (Boom/Cherry Picker) Truck
- September 2019 – UPS trials SEA Ford F-59 EV in Detroit
- October 2019 – SEA Electric start production of first F-59 EV in USA (UPS vehicle)
- October 2019 – Cleanaway deploy another SEA EV garbage truck in Fremantle Western Australia
- November 2019 – SEA Electric donate SEA EV delivery truck to the Salvation Army
- November 2019 – SEA Electric USA takes order of 100 units of the SEA Hino 195 EV from Zeem Solutions
- November 2019 – Alsco NZ launch NZ’s first heavy EV road freighter (SEA Hino GH EV) and 3 SEA E4V delivery vans

- April 2020 – MaxiParts (part of MaxiTrans) convert a 13 year old Isuzu NNR with over 300,00 klms to EV with a SEA-Drive® EV power-system
- May 2020 – New Zealand owned waste management and streetscape maintenance company Civic Contractors deploys SEA EV truck to carry out sanitation and street cleaning (EV truck picks up wheelie bins and washes bin with hot water & steam)
- May 2020 – Staples deploy first SEA Hino 195 EV delivery truck in California
- July 2020 - Exro and SEA Electric announce partnership
- July 2020 – Foodstuff NZ (large supermarket chain) launch SEA EV heavy duty reefer truck
- August 2020 - Jemena Utilities deploys SEA EV EWP (Boom/Cherry Picker) Truck
